Rajiv Assassination: Supari Killing or Plotted Murder?

During an interaction with IIM alumni in Singapore, Rahul Gandhi declared he and his sister Priyanka Gandhi have completely forgiven the killers of their father.
BJP MP Subramanian Swamy Today said Gandhi Family forgiving the killers of Rajiv Gandhi raised suspicion of 'supari killing' or a plotted murder for financial gains. 'LTTE claimed it killed Rajiv for sending Indian Army to fight against them in Sri Lanka. Actually, Rajiv was only acting as per the motion passed in Parliament stating Sri Lanka sought India's assistance to fight the LTTE as they can't handle the battle alone,' he maintained.
Now, Swamy suspects conspiracy behind the leniency given to the killers of Rajiv Gandhi. 'Nalini's death sentence was reduced to life imprisonment. I couldn't understand why we should be lenient to someone who collaborated with foreigners to kill our PM. The statement of Rahul doesn't signify patriotism. The punishment was awarded to the killers of Ex-PM not Rahul's Father,' told the Rajya Sabha Member.
The BJP Leader sought a probe into the sequence of incidents after the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi. He questions, 'Why Priyanka Gandhi met killers of Rajiv in jail though only relatives of the convicts are allowed for mulaqats? Nalini was granted scholarship to study in Indira Gandhi University. Why they are so sympathetic to killers? There is something wrong'.
