Narendra Modi promised Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh before 2014 Elections. He, however, found excuses to deny justice for the Andhrites.
And now, Rahul Gandhi has been using the Special Category Status as a weapon to resurrect the Congress Party at least by 2019 Polls. Congress Leadership even instructed Party Heads in all the states not to object SCS for AP as it's a special case. That's very much appreciable!
To accord Special Category Status for AP, UPA will have to come back to power with Congress winning at least 200-plus MP Seats. There is no such possibility in the current situation and winning even 100-plus seats is doubtful. UPA can form Government only with the help of alliance partners. Then, Why would any of the Allies, be it DMK Chief MK Stalin or JD (U) Supremo Kumaraswamy, react positively over SCS for AP? Can Andhrites trust Rahul Gandhi after having a similar experience with Narendra Modi?
