KCR's Biggest Worry - Rahul In OU
By: Tupaki Desk | 6 Aug 2018 4:15 AM GMTRahul Gandhi's upcoming Hyderabad trip is giving jitters to the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi. Rahul Gandhi is planning to visit Osmania University to meet the students. Now, that's giving sleepless nights to the TRS. The reason? OU is a ‘No Go' area for the TRS. Remember none of the TRS leaders, including KCR have gone to the OU after they came to power. The students are so angry that they might give a torrid time to KCR or anyone from the TRS. They are upset at the way KCR had treated them and at the way the KCR government turned a blind eye to providing jobs to the students. In fact, KCR did try to enter into the OU when President Pranab Mukherjee was to visit the university as part of the centinery celebratons. With the reports that the students would stage protests, KCR's presence was scuttled.
Now, Rahul Gandhi is planning to go to the same OU. Several OU student leaders have recently joined the Congress and the Congress now wants to capitalize on the anger of the students against the TRS. So, it is planning to hold a meeting in the heart of the OU, where Rahul Gandhi can lambast KCR.
So, the TRS government is now planning to scuttle the meeting somehow or the other. It has egged on some students close ot the party to lodge a protest against the meeting. The TRS wants Rahul to address the meeting in Nizam College instead.
So, the game is turning out to be interesting. Who will succeed? Rahul Gandhi or KCR? Let's wait and see.
