Raja Singh's Biggest Confusion
By: Tupaki Desk | 28 Nov 2020 4:46 AM GMTGoshamahal's BJP MLA Raja Singh is finding himself on the crossroads. He has been effectively sidelined in the BJP. Ever since Bandi Sanjay took over, he hogged the limelight, while Raja Singh has been relegated to the background. Now, he is finding the going tough in Goshamahal itself.
His problem is that the BJP has given tickets in the GHMC elections to candidates who don't belong to his community in four of the six divisions. In these four divisions, the TRS has given tickets to candidates belonging to Lodh community. This has now become a major issue for Raja Singh. He cannot oppose his own community and at the same time, he cannot stay away from supporting the party candidates, who are not Lodhs. To add to his problems, all the four non-Lodh BJP candidates are BJP's dedicated workers and had played a key role in Raja Singh's victory. So, if he campaigns for them, he will lose Lodh support. If he doesn't, he'll end up losing the support of dedicated party workers.
So, Raja Singh has limited himself to campaign for just two BJP candidates, who are Lodhs, and is keeping away from campaigning for non-Lodh candidates. This will actually weaken him in the next elections, sources say.
