Strong buzz is doing rounds about the possible defection of Rajampet MLA Meda Mallikarjuna Reddy into YSR Congress Party. The Legislator has been in touch with YCP Leadership since some time.
Quickly, TDP Senior Leaders swung into action to know what is the reason behind Mallikarjuna Reddy's decision. Somehow, The MLA was pacified and made to withdraw his plan to change the party with some assurances. On Monday evening, Mallikarjuna Reddy met CM Chandrababu Naidu to convey what made him think in such a way.
YSR Congress hawa in Kadapa District during 2014 Polls is evident. Meda Mallikarjuna Reddy is the only TDP Candidate to win in the district. Jammalamadugu MLA Adinarayana Reddy and Badwel MLA Jayaramulu defected to TDP after winning on YCP Ticket.
Upon meeting CM, Mallikarjuna Reddy brushed aside the reports of his defection to YCP. He went on to say there is no need to quit the party just because of minor issues.
