Rajinikanth ended years-long suspense over his political entry with an official announcement on December 31st. Tamil Film Industry might split into two after Superstar confirmed his political debut.
Until now, Rajinikanth have no opposition what-so-ever in the Film Industry. This gonna change after he forays into politics as a lot of Kollywood Celebs have been in different parties already. While Vijayakanth floated DMDK, Sarath Kumar have a party of his own. Kamal Haasan has already made his entry and the launch of his political outfit will happen soon. Even Vishal could be joining any of the new or old parties. Nobody knows whom Top Stars like Vijay, Ajith, Suriya and Vikram gonna support.
As both Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan stayed away from Politics all these years, There wasn't much impact on the Tamil Film Industry.
