Rajinikanth's Take On CAA And Protests
By: Tupaki Desk | 20 Dec 2019 6:33 AM GMTTamil superstar Rajinikanth, aka Thalaivar has finally spoken about the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act(CAA) and National Register of Citizenship(NRC) and expressed his concern on the ongoing violent protests and unrest across the country.
"violence should not be the solution for the problems," the superstar said.
He took to Twitter to share his opinion on the violent protests carried out strongly opposing both the bills.
"Indian citizens should stand united and aware on the nation's security and welfare. I am deeply saddened as because of the undergoing violence," read the Tweet.
Soon after he Tweeted on this, hashtags #IStandWithRajinikanth and #ShameOnYouSanghiRajini became trending on Twitter.
While one section supported the actor the other section has bashed the superstar for his stand on this burning issue.
Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam(DMK) youth wing Secretary, actor Udhayanithi Stalin targeted Rajini indirectly in his tweets.
"I appeal to people to take part in DMK's anti-CAA rally which will be lead by President MK Stalin. Also, please leave the wealthy and elderly citizens safely in house as they term our protests to safeguard our rights as violence," read his Tweet.
