Jawan complains Poor Quality Food, HM reacts!

Quality of Food being served to Border Security Force (BSF) Jawans came under the scanner after the video of army personnel complaining about sub-standard food surfaced.
In a video, Constable Tej Bahadur Yadav of BSF's 29th battalion expressed his anguish on the poor quality food served to the Jawans. He alleges only a parantha and tea sans pickle/vegetables is being served for breakfast and roti with dal which had just turmeric and salt for lunch. He also questions how can a Jawan who must stand throughout the day do his duty with such quality of the food.
Mr. Yadav claims Jawans had to sleep empty stomach at times because of the inedible food. He described the ill-treatment as cruelty and injustice.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh immediately sought a report from BSF regarding the food being served and directed concerned officials to take appropriate action.
