Rajya Sabha Members Gearing Up For Taking Oath On July 22!
By: Tupaki Desk | 17 July 2020 10:49 AM GMTThe Rajya Sabha members who emerged victorious in the polls will be taking oath on the 22nd of July reportedly. Rajya Sabha Chairman M. Venkaiah Naidu will take acre of the swearing-in ceremony.
61 Rajya Sabha members across the states were elected to Rajya Sabha. This includes four leaders from the ruling YSRCP making it to the Rajya Sabha.
As the virus is fast spreading in the country, the swearing-in ceremony will be conducted in the House chamber. The ceremony is going to be a complete inter-session affair.
This marks the first instance where the Chamber of the House will accommodate the oath-taking ceremony. Usually, the oath-taking ceremony will take place in the chamber of the RS chairman or during the session.
During the ceremony, all the leaders should have to observe the social distancing norms strictly. As per the norms, only one person will be given permission to accompany the RS Member.
Four leaders from YSRCP, Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose, Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, Alla Ayodhyarami Reddy, and Parimal Natwani were elected to the Rajya Sabha.
