Seems like, The cash for vote case is still haunting AP CM Chandrababu Naidu. He made a biggest mistake of his life by trying to lure TRS Nominated MLA for Rajya Sabha Polls in Telangana few years ago. TDP Supremo doesn't want to commit such a mistake once again.
Actually, Six Years term of Rajya Sabha MPs Chiranjeevi, Renuka Chowdary and T Devender Goud will end on April 2nd, 2018. As per strength in Assembly, TDP and YCP can win 2 seats and 1 seat respectively. Even if all the six BJP MLAs extend support, TDP need 2 YCP MLAs to bag the 3rd Rajya Sabha seat and Operation Akarsh has to be re-launched for that to happen. Fearing the consequences, Chandrababu Naidu decided not to field candidate for the third Rajya Sabha seat.
There is heavy competition for the Two Rajya Sabha seats TDP gonna win for sure. Aspirants have already begun lobbying by seeking appointments of CM and IT Minister. Naidu has to deal with revolts from party leaders if there is any error of judgement, just alike it happened in the case of KCR.
