Major Jolt To KCR: TRS MLC Set To Resign
By: Tupaki Desk | 22 Sep 2018 7:46 AM GMTEven after two weeks of announcing the candidates list, the dissidence is refusing to die in the ruling TRS. Dissidents are getting more and more belligerent and are trying to defeat the official candidates.
In what is being seen as a major shock, TRS MLC Ramuli Naik has raised a banner of revolt. Ramulu Naik is the founding member of the party and is a senior leader. Naik wanted Narayanakhed ticket, but was not given. On Saturday, he held a meeting with his close followers BC, SC and ST leaders. He also met several employee, medical officials and students. Citing denial of rights to the STs, he said he would resign from the MLC post and contest as an independent. He also raised the issue of Muslim reservations, he said that the issue has hit the interests of the STs. He said the Lambadi community can decide the fate of the candidates in 20 assembly constituencies and said the people were ready to teach a lesson to KCR.
If all goes as per the plan, he might resign from his MLC seat in a couple of days and take a plunge. He has also said that the STs were better off during the Congress regime.
