Lady Gaga is not a singer or fashionista with Global recognition but someone who always cared for victims of sexual violence and done her bit through her non-profit initiatives. Even she paid a musical tribute to such people with her album 'Till It Happens To You'.
Why Lady Gaga appears to be so close to victims of sexual assaults? Just because, The Celebrity herself is a rape survivor! She was raped by a Producer with whom she worked when she was a teenager.
As part of promoting 'The Hunting Ground', Lady Gaga explained how challenging was it for her to overcome that phase of her life and the physical trauma can't be ignored. The American Singer blamed herself for whatever happened as she is always of the view her dressing sense and being provocative made the other person take advantage of her. She admits not telling anyone about it for 7 years and the incident changed her life and who she was completely.
Lady Gaga recommends more focus on physical trauma, not just mental or emotional pain. She claims to have opened up so that there could be a heathy discussion on the subject.
