Ravi Prakash Lands In Soup Again, Shelters Economic Offender
By: Tupaki Desk | 21 March 2020 5:07 AM GMTTime was when he hosted news shows. Today, he is making news but for wrong reason. After fund swindling in the name of charity hospital and embezzlement charges in TV 9, disgraced TV baron Ravi Prakash has now landed himself in the hot soup once again. This time around, he has sheltered a financial offender in his Banjara Hills home.
Famed jeweller-turned-loan defaulter Sukesh Gupta, who owns Musaddilal Jewelleries, was arrested from Ravi Prakash's home. In a late night swoop, the police raided his premises and arrested him. Sukesh Gupta and his associates secured a loan of Rs 110 crore from lending agency NREI in 2018. As per the agreement, the amount was to be paid in four instalments. However, the Guptas defaulted and the lending agency seized the 8 acre land belonging to them. Later, they went to acquire Nazribagh Palace in King Kothi. However, they were shocked to find that the mansion was already sold to a hospitality company.
Since then, the Guptas have been on the run. On credible information that Sukesh Gupta was hiding in Ravi Prakash's house, they raided his premises late in the night. Now, Ravi Prakash has more trouble waiting for him. He would be tried for providing shelter to the economic offender. What a fall for the man who preached morals to all and sundry ad nauseum.
