Minister's Bizarre Logic - 120 Cr By 3 Films!
By: Tupaki Desk | 13 Oct 2019 4:39 AM GMTUnion Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad came up with a bizarre logic to convey that there is no economic slowdown in India at all. 'On October 2nd which is a national holiday, Three Bollywood Films (War, Sye Raa, Joker) collected Rs 120 crore. Can three movies collect such a huge revenue in a day if the economy has slowed down?,' he questioned the reporters who asked him about economic slowdown.
Ravi Shankar Prasad told Press Trust of India that IT Sector, Electronic Manufacturing, Commerce Services and Mudra Loan are performed exceptionally well. He made it clear, 'Never did this Government promise jobs to everyone. Some people are misleading the public over employment'.
According to the International Monetary Fund, The worst effect of Worldwide economic slowdown can be witnessed more in India and Brazil. 90 percent of the countries in the World will have to deal with slowdown in 2019.
When quizzed about it, Ravi Shankar Prasad opined IMF's assessment is still incomplete. He went on to say Indian economy was in 11th position when Manmohan Singh was PM but it jumped to 5th spot under NDA rule and even surpassed France.
As per Labour Force Survey, Employment Rate stood at a 45-year low. Last time, Unemployment was such high in 1972-73. Can Ravi Shankar Prasad deny it?
