TIDCO Houses: Dream Houses Of The Poor!
X
Township and Infrastructure Development (TIDCO) houses are planned for the poor to help them achieve the dream of having their own house. The specialty of the houses is that they are designed for small families to live comfortably. Poor and below-middle-class people have been eagerly waiting for the houses to be distributed. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy released massive funds for the houses. While 300 sq ft houses will be given for free, houses built in the area of 365 and 430 sq ft will be given for half the price. To see happiness in the eyes of beneficiaries, the CM released funds for facilities like drinking water, roads, electricity, and others. This serves as a big eye-opener for Chandrababu and TDP activists who are cheating people without spending even a tiny amount for the houses and taking selfies at the sites.

It costs around Rs 28,000 crores to complete the TIDCO houses. But the previous Chandrababu Naidu government did not even spend half the funds. Despite this, they are trying to project that they have done everything and almost constructed the houses.

After coming to power, the YS Jagan-led government spent Rs 8734 crores on TIDCO houses so far. Even the Covid fear could not stop the strong intentions of the government as 62,000 houses were completed. The government also spent around Rs 3000 crores for the basic facilities for the beneficiaries of the houses.

TIDCO houses were made into magnificent residential complexes with facilities like roads, sewerage, and others. The Jagan government also cleared the dues of Rs 3000 crores left by the previous government. Beneficiaries have to pay 3k every month for 20 years to get a TIDCO house constructed in a 300 sq ft area. The beneficiaries have to pay around Rs 7.2 lakh for the house in the previous government. But the current government is distributing such TIDCO houses for free. This will add a burden of Rs 5,340 crores on the government and despite this, the government is going forward.

The government is also bearing the 50 percent concession in the advances that are made for plots 365 and 430 square feet units. This adds the burden of Rs 482.31 crores to the government. The government is also bearing the expenditure of Rs 1200 crores in the form of free registration.

143600 beneficiaries will be distributed 300 square feet plots for just one rupee. The plots count goes up to 2.62 lakhs including 365, and 430 square feet units. In the form of subsidies, the government is spending Rs 14,514 crores more. Free registration costs Rs 1200 crores for the government. The government spent a massive Rs 18,714 crores and 61,948 plots were distributed to the beneficiaries already. By the end of this year, 2, 62, 216 plots will be distributed.

This is the reality and the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government is working hard to bring happiness to the beneficiaries by this year's end.
