KCR's Calculation Behind Inviting Danam
By: Tupaki Desk | 23 Jun 2018 8:29 AM GMTFormer Minister, AICC Member and Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee former president Danam Nagender has bid goodbye to the national party. He sent his resignation letter to Rahul, Sonia and Uttam Kumar Reddy.
After his resignation, Danam Nagender met Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav. He could be explaining what prompted him to end the decades long association with the Congress Party during Today's press meet.
Danam Nagender had in the past joined TDP ditching Congress and returned to the national party again. KCR had his own calculations for welcoming such a leader into the party.
In the GHMC region, TRS is facing leadership crisis. There should a strong leader to influence the voters in 21 Assembly Constituencies in the GHMC limits. In this region, T Padma Rao who is serving as Excise Minister is the only MLA for TRS in 2014 Polls. In the wake of reports regarding early polls, KCR might have felt someone like Danam Nagender could be of great use to the TRS in GHMC.
Danam hasn't been active in Congress after 2014 Polls. He kept maintaining a low profile and didn't even accompany T-Congress Leaders when they went to Delhi recently for conveying birthday greetings.
Post his meeting with Danam, Talasani told any Leader who wishes to join TRS will be welcomed. He claimed CM KCR developed the state so much in the past four years.
On the other hand, Former Minister Mukesh Goud, his son Vikram Goud and few other Leaders might quit the Congress Party soon.
