If the latest buzz in media is to be believed, Modi doesn't even bother about the proposals sent by AP Government. He takes them very lightly by commenting such things will keep on coming. Does Modi hold a grudge against Chandrababu?
16 Years Ago, Chandrababu Naidu-led TDP was a crucial alliance partner in NDA-1. He was the first Leader to demand ouster of Narendra Modi as chief minister of Gujarat after Godhra Riots. Congress Leader Jairam Ramesh believes this could be the reason why Modi holds grudge on Chandrababu.
With 28 MPs, TDP was a strong player in Vajpayee Government. After Gujarat riots, TDP Politburo moved a resolution saying dissolving Assembly and going to polls is like capitalizing on the tragedy. Vajpayee attempted to sack Modi due to the pressure mounted by Chandrababu but LK Advani came to his rescue. To convince Babu in this matter, Then Parliament Affairs Minister Vijay Goel reached Hyderabad for holding talks and even Vajpayee spoke to him over phone.
When Modi wished to visit Hyderabad for Ganesh immersion procession, Then AP CM Chandrababu Naidu had firmly opposed it and the Gujarat CM had cancelled the tour in the last minute.
When Singapore former President Lee Kuan Yew passed away, External Affairs Ministry denied clearance for AP CM to visit the foreign country for paying tributes. Modi didn't even bother to take Babu along with his Team to Singapore.
Even a comment made by Chandrababu Naidu might have invited the wrath of Narendra Modi. Once, Naidu commented Gujarat CM followed the policy he implemented when he was the CM of United AP.
Now, Few Politicians and Analysts say any of these past happenings might have made Modi treat Chandrababu like an enemy. Who knows the actual truth?
