AP - The First State in India to join 1 Crore club!

Andhra Pradesh Government has achieved a new feat by emerging as the only state to distribute 1 crore LED bulbs. The newly formed stated also set the world record for distribution of highest number of LEB bulbs in an year.
As part of the energy efficiency activities under Demand Side Management–based Efficient Lighting Programme (DELP), AP Government distributed one crore LED bulbs by Friday evening. Guntur district leads with 18.67 lakhs in terms of distribution on LED bulbs. East Godavari records lowest with 2.43 lakhs. Distribution of LED bulbs is yet to be launched in Kadapa and Nellore districts.
Union Minister for Power Piyush Goyal congratulated State Government & People of AP for the achievement. Even AP CM Chandrababu Naidu had word of praise for the efforts of Energy Department in making the energy efficiency movement a huge success.
All over India, Around 3.15 crore LED Bulbs have been distributed until now.
