New Year: Record Liquor Sales & Drunk Drive Cases!

Boozers not only had a blast during the New Year eve but also paid the price for going for a drive in an inebriated condition. This is why a new record has been set in terms of Liquor Sales and Drunken Drive Cases.
As much as Rs 288 crore were generated through Liquor Sales in AP from December 29th to 31st.
As expected, Hyderabad leads the chart with a revenue of Rs 19.50 crore. Warangal and Ranga Reddy had sales worth Rs 18 crore and Rs 15.30 crore respectively. In December alone, Rs 1,962 crore income was generated with liquor sales.
As per initial estimates, Liquor Sales in the Telugu States on the New Year eve generated a revenue of anywhere between Rs 500 to 600 crore.
Could anybody guess how many Drunken Drive cases were booked on December 31st midnight? Its beyond anyone's imagination! As many as 2,090 cases were booked by 175 Teams deployed at all the crucial spots.
