In the wake of the positive cases of COVID 19 reaching an alarming level, the joint secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Lav Agarwal has come up with a piece of good news and said that the recovery rate has increased to 25.19 percent from 13.06 percent.

The recovery rate in the country has increased significantly by 12 percent just in a span of two weeks. The Health Ministry said that not less than 630 patients managed to get cured of the virus in the past 24 hours.

1,718 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cases to 33,050. The recovery rate is now 25.19%. A progressive recovery rate has been observed, Lav Agarwal said.

"Fatality rate is 3.2%. Comorbidities was found in COVID-19 patients in 78% of the deaths. Doubling rate of the cases has now increased to 11 days," Lav Agarwal maintained about the COVID-19 fatalities.
