Centre To Reduce Marriage Age For Men

Marriage plays an important role in everyone's life. But there is a certain age to marry, parents do marriage their children at that age. Under the Child Marriage Regulation Act of 2006 (PCMA), boys must be 21 years and girls are married only after the age of 18. The central government is working to reduce the marriage age of boys from 21 to 18 years.
The matter was discussed at an internal meeting held on 18 October under the aegis of the Union Women and Child Welfare Department. Ministers of all branches were present at the meeting. It will be revealed that the Center will issue an announcement soon after collecting all the decisions. However, even boys can get married and get married at 18 years of age.
