Revanth Realises Running TPCC Is Not An Easy Task
By: Tupaki Desk | 4 Sep 2021 12:58 PM GMTRunning other parties is one thing and running the Congress Party is altogether a different ballgame. And TPCC chief Revanth Reddy is learning this very fast. He has now realised that a diktat by the TPCC chief means practically nothing in the Congress Party. If the leader has his own support base, he cares two hoots for the party directives.
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has ignored the party directives and attended YSR's memorial meeting organised by YS Vijayamma. Not just that, he even dared the TPCC to take action against party MLA Sitakka first before acting against him. He said if there is no action against Sitakka for touching the feet of Chandrababu Naidu, there cannot be any action against him too. After all, YSR was a Congress CM and he has worked hard to bring Congress to power at the national level. So, attending his memorial meeting can never be considered wrong, argued Komatireddy.
He further said that there could not be two different yardsticks for measuring his loyalty and Sitakka's obsequiousness. He justified his attending the YSR programme as he had already given a word to YS Vijayamma.
Now Revanth may have realised that handling things is different in the Congress. The party high command may not take any action against Komatireddy even if Revanth recommends. At the same time, he may have to put up with Komatireddy's antics as he is an MP and his brother an MLA and the party cannot afford to alienate them.
