KCR Trying To Distort Telangana History: Revanth
By: Tupaki Desk | 3 Sep 2018 10:44 AM GMTNone can beat Revanth Reddy in attacking the KCR and his family members. Revanth Reddy is known for his incisive comments that pack a punch. Post-Pragathi Nivedana Sabha, too Revanth attacked the TRS government and questioned its claims. Speaking at the Telangana Journalists Union's Meet the Press, he charged the KCR with trying to obliterate the history of Telangana's struggle and the battle for a separate state. He said the KCR family was trying to project Telangana struggle as just KCR's struggle. He said that KCR was doing whatever KTR is demanding. He is forced to all these because KTR is threatening to commit suicide if what he wants is not done, Revanth charged.
"The KCR family claims that Telangana was achieved in a bloodless revolution. But, is that true? What about the martyrs who laid down their lives for Telangana? KCR himself had admitted in the AP Assembly that over 1200 had died for Telangana. Why are these sacrifices being pushed under the carpet?
KCR had come back to India from the US six years after KCR founded the party. Kavitha later joined in the name of Batukamma festival. Except cooking foods on the roads and token dharnas, what else did you do?" asked Revanth. Social justice does not mean serving and benefiting his own family. He said that TRS was trying to foist KCR's personal agenda on the people of the state. Every development and welfare work such as 108 services, Arogya Sri, welfare pensions and free power supply were the gift of the united AP government and not one of these is KCR's gift, he claimed.
He said that the ministers do not have any trust in KCR. He claimed that a committee of intellectuals would be setup. But, it was never set up. The IAS officials are on a warpath against the Government. The TRS is taking away the media organizations created by others. It's been 51 months since the Government was formed, but it is yet to identify the martyrs who died for the cause of Telangana. "When you can build Pragathi Bhavan at Rs 1ooo crore, get bullet proof bathroom, why cannot you build an Ambedkar statue or a memorial pylon for the Telangana martyrs," Revanth asked KCR.
