On Thursday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed a charge sheet in the much-talked-about cash for vote scam scandal that created a sensation across the two Telugu states and named Telangana Congress MP Revanth Reddy as the prime accused in the case.

This made the firebrand MP move the top court, the Supreme Court. As a major relief, the Apex Court served notices to Telangana ACB to stop cross-examination of witnesses in the case till the investigation gets over.

Serving the notices to Telangana Anti Corruption Bureau(ACB) in this regard, the Supreme Court has sought the response of the agency and granted four weeks time to reply to the notices.

The Malkajgiri Parliamentarian had knocked on the doors of the Supreme Court to seek directives to see that cross-examination of the witnesses should be done only after the chief examination of witnesses is done.

The vote for note scandal has sent shocking waves across AP and Telangana in 2015. The TDP pastry has reportedly bribed nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson to cast his vote in favor of Vem Narender Reddy in the MLC election held in 2015. Revanth Reddy was with the TDP then.
