Losing Sitting Kodangal Seat in 2018 Telangana Assembly Polls was the biggest fall of Revanth Reddy in his political career and that happened within short time after joining the Congress Party. Of course, He retained his lost glory within few months by getting elected as Malkajgiri MP.
To emerge as an alternative for Uttam Kumar Reddy and establish himself as a sole contender for CM Chair in Congress Party, Revanth Reddy challenged the T-PCC Chief when it comes to Candidate selection for Huzurnagar By-Election. Actually, Uttam had to let go Huzurnagar MLA Seat after getting elected as MP in 2019 Elections. The PCC Chief will have every right to decide who has to contest for his MLA Seat.
Whereas, Revanth Reddy demanded Congress Leadership to serve notices to Uttam Kumar Reddy for deciding the Huzurnagar Candidate in a one-sided manner. To his shock, Sonia Gandhi offered priority to the views of Uttam and declared his Wife Padmavathy as the candidate for Huzurnagar by-poll. That's how Revanth Reddy faced the second defeat as Congressman for interfering in unnecessary matter.
May be, Revanth Reddy has been preparing the ground for his entry into BJP as Congress kept getting weak inspite of bagging three MP Seats.
