Will Para 4 permits TDP Legislature Party merger?
By: Tupaki Desk | 13 Feb 2016 10:04 AM GMTTelangana TDP will be soon moving Hyderabad High Court seeking disqualification of its MLAs who joined TRS in the past 19 Months.
The Party Leadership doesn't agree with the claims of defected legislators that they have got enough strength to merge legislature party into TRS legislature party. Its brings to the notice that party has suspended 6 of its MLAs some time ago for anti-party activities and they were no more members of Telugu Desam. 'In that case, How can there be 10 TDP MLAs and how can they claim sufficient strength to merger?,' questions Revanth Reddy.
Responding on the defected MLAs claim of merger is possible as per Para 4 of the X Schedule, The Fire Brand Leader clarifies Para 4 mentions about the party as a whole not related to legislature party or other associated wings. He also informs Assembly can't take a decision on merger of two political parties.
TDP also decided to move court seeking revoke of the decision of Legislative Council Chairman to allow defected TDP MLCs into TRS.
