A division bench of Chief Justice Raghavendra Singh Chauhan and Justice A Abhishek Reddy passed the orders on Tuesday as they heard a petition moved by filmmaker Ram Gopal Verma seeking direction to the Censor Board to issue a certificate so that the film could be released.
Indrasena Chowdary had also filed a PIL seeking an order not to permit the release of the movie in theatres and online and social media platforms.
Varma's counsel K Durga Prasad submitted that the censor certificate to the film is not yet issued despite their complying with the recommendation for having 12 cuts in the film
It is interesting to see if the effort to release the film tomorrow will be successful on the twelfth of this month. Ram Gopal Verma Gang has made it clear that the film is aimed at anyone with teasers.
