Online date monitoring sites say that searches like Child Porn, Teen Porn, Sexy Child and teen sex videos have gone up. Sources said that the Indian traffic to PornHub, a leading porn site in the world, has gone up by 95 per cent between March 24 and 26, ie just two days after the announcement of the lockdown. At least 100 Indian cities, including the national capital of New Delhi, are seeing a rise in the watching of porn, especially child porn. Towns like Hyderabad, Bhubaneshwar too are seeing a rise in watching child pornography.
The Central Government, which has been adopting a stern attitude as far as controlling pornography is concerned. The Government has already banned over 850 porn sites. Despite this, several porn sites are uploading sleaze videos with impunity. The rise in child pornography is a worrying trend, say NGOs involved in protecting child rights.
