RK Roja criticized Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for holding celebrations in the name Happy City when there is anguish among people across the state over denial of Special Status and other key promises of AP Reorganisation Act 2014. She wondered how did Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu attend such an useless event.
While responding on Chandrababu's claims that 71 percent people in the state are happy with the welfare schemes of TDP Government, Roja challenged TDP Supremo to dissolve the government to face elections immediately if what he said is true. 'Why 71 percent people are happy? Just because of getting debt ridden without Loan Waiver, No Fee Reimbursement, No Job for every household, No Housing for Dalits or for making Amaravati into a scam capital. YSR reminds us of Arogya Shri, Free Current, Fee Reimbursement and Kg rice for Rs 2. Is there one scheme TDP could claim proudly? Usually, People praises CM but here Chandrababu praises himself. Let's go to polls now itself if people are so happy,' she challenged.
The Nagari MLA opined Centre should have succumbed to the pressure had if all the MPs of AP resigned at once. 'Babu made Harikrishna resign during Samaikyandhra Movement.
