Road Mishaps in Telugu States at alarming rate

AP & Telangana stood at 7th and 9th spots in the lists States with most number of road mishaps.
As per National Crime Records Bureau, 22,839 road accidents were recorded in 2015. As many as 8,297 people succumbed to death. Telangana isn't far behind. While the 21,252 mishaps took place, 7,110 people lost their lives.
Statistics show, About 52 road mishaps were happening in India per hour and 17 people were getting killed. Majority of the road mishaps are due to Overspeed, Carelessness & Overtaking. Poor Weather contributes to 3.7% of road accidents.
Shockingly, Individuals below the age of 18 are involved in 10.5 percent of road mishaps in the country. 635% of more children passed away in road accidents in 2015, making it the biggest single cause of death of children in India.
