Sharath Koppu who hails from Telangana was killed by a robber at a restaurant in Kansas City.
On July 6th, The Robber opened fire at J's Fish and Chicken Market in Kansas City. Sharath Koppu succumbed to the five bullet injuries he received while undergoing treatment.
Cops treat it as a case of robbery and murder. Video footage of the suspect has been released by them. A reward of $10,000 was announced for offering info leading to the arrest of the killer.
It was only in January this year, Sharath Koppu moved to the USA for his higher studies upon receiving scholarship from University of Missouri-Kansas City. Family Members appealed Sushma Swaraj to bring the mortal remains back to India as early as possible. The Consulate General of India in Chicago assured appropriate assistance to the family of the deceased.
