Rohit Sharma's Analysis On Indore Defeat To Australia!

The ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy which will decide India's chances of playing the ICC World Test Championship final has turned interesting with Australia bouncing back and winning the third test at Indore. The Kangaroo team won the test with a big margin of nine wickets. Nathan Lyon broke the back of the team.
After a long time, India lost a test match at home that too by a big margin. Indian batsmen failed to play spin and spinners restricted India to less than 150 runs in both innings. At the post-match presentation, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma analyzed India's loss.
Rohit Sharma said that India's batting was not up to the mark and they failed to dominate the Australian bowlers. Talking about Nathan Lyon, Rohit Sharma said that Indian batsmen were not brave and the spinner made the best out of it.
Rohit Sharma said that many things did not go in India's way including batting and highlighted the importance of batting well in the second innings. Australia got a lead of 80-90, if we would have batted well then things would have been different, he said.
"When you lose a Test match there are a lot of things which didn't go our way. Obviously, we didn't bat well in the first innings and we understand how important it is to put runs on the board. Once they got a 80-90 run lead, we had to produce another innings with the bat and we were not able to do that," Rohit Sharma said.
India won the toss and opted to bat. However, the Australian bowlers stunned the Indian team and restricted the batsmen to 109. In return, Australia scored 197, taking a lead of 88. In the second innings, India barely managed to score 163 runs. Australia needed 76 runs to win and chased the target by losing just one wicket.
