Following this, Indian Opener Rohit Sharma took to Twitter and paid tributes to his former Skipper who transformed his career by changing his batting position.
'One of the most influential man in the history of Indian cricket. His impact in & around cricket was massive. He was a man with vision and a master in knowing how to build a team. I Will surely miss him in blue but we have him in yellow. See you on 19th at the toss,' Rohit Sharmaâs Tweet read.
Rohit not only paid tributes to the legendary wicket-keeper but also revealed the date of the inaugural match of the IPL season.
The Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians and MS Dhoni led-Chennai Super Kings will lock horns at the inaugural match of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League. So far MI won foyer IPL trophies, while Chennai won three trophies.
With Dhoni bidding adieu to international cricket, Dhoni fans are eagerly waiting to see their favorite cricketer again on the Cricket field in the upcoming 13th edition of IPL which will be held at UAE.
