Rohith's Mother shifted to ICU

Radhika Vemula, the mother of University of Hyderabad research scholar Rohith Vemula, was admitted in the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Continental Hospital after she complained of chest pain.
In the early hours, Radhika complained giddiness and restlessness while being at the dharna camp of UoH Students. Soon after she was taken to the health centre, Doctors told her that blood pressure has increased and given few sedatives to make her fall into sleep. Stress she underwent post Rohith's suicide and lack of sufficient sleep were said to be reasons for her condition.
UoH Vice Chancellor Appa Rao has gone on leave after Rohith Vemula's sucide and an in-charge VC was appointed in his place. Students who were protesting since several days demanded compensation for Rohith's family, Suspension of VC and SC/ST Atrocities Cases against those responsible for the suicide.
