Roja demands and gets special out-of-turn darshan at Tirumala

Netizens and citizens alike are slamming actor-politician and YS Jagan governmentâs minister RK Roja for insisting that her entire entourage be given a special darshan at Tirupati out of turn. The other day, she went to Tirupati along with a large team of supporters and acquaintances and demanded that the officials stop the darshan for the ordinary devotees and provide them with a break darshan.
The officials said that a break darshan at that time of the day was not possible. But, the tourism minister insisted that the officials do something or the other and ensure a darshan for her team of 30 persons. She reportedly said that since she was the minister for tourism, she should be given priority. The officials tried to explain the problems, but to no avail.
The officials told her that the break darshan has been stopped till August 21. But, Roja did not reportedly listen to their point of view. As a result, the officials had to relent and make hurried arrangements to send her and her team of 30 persons for break darshan. This has caused huge resentment among the ordinary devotees, who were patiently waiting for their turn for darshan.
The ordinary devotees questioned the VIP culture and asked the TTD authorities as to how and why they had delayed their darshan and facilitated the darshanam for minister Roja and her team. They demanded that the authorities put an end to the VIP culture atop Tirumala.
