YSR Congress Legislator RK Roja slammed TDP Government over the newly introduced Bar Policy. 'When 21 States have been implementing Supreme Court order to save people's lives, National Highways have been denotified as State-Roads by CM Chandrababu Naidu for the sake of Liquor Outlets. After Babu came to power, There is no food to eat, water to drink and job to work for people of AP but there is no limit for liquor supply. Neeru-Meeru Programme has been converted into Beer-Bar Programme to bring liquor to doorsteps. Around 3,500 out of 4,753 Liquor Outlets are on the National Highways itself. Close to 550 out of 885 Bars have been established on the Highways. That's why so many road mishaps have been happening in our state. You have seen what happened in Yerpedu..a drunk driver killed 14 people with his rash driving. How could Chandrababu take such decisions? It appears as if he holds a grudge against Women. Naidu is anti-Women. This CM doesn't care about Unemployment, MSP & Farm Loan Waiver for Farmers & DWAKRA Women,' alleges Nagari MLA.

Responding on AP Minister's statement - 'Beer is a Health Drink', The Fire Brand Leader said: 'Cabinet Minister who is a dalit & teacher spoke in an irresponsible manner. Are they taking such decision in cabinet by consuming this health drink? If its really a healthy drink, Then sell them in Medical Shops & Heritage Outlets. These people can even offer these beers as health drink to children and pregnant women in Anganwadis. They might even say students can be active if they drink it. The agenda seems to be ruining the lives of 3 crore women. How could Babu take such a decision in cabinet meeting on Bar Policy inspite of wide range protests? You will pay for it!'.

Supreme Court passed orders prohibiting Liquor Outlets 500 metres within the radius of National Highways and 200 metres within the radius of State Highways.
