Rooky Teenmaar Mallanna rocks TRS boat

Though he is lagging behind by several thousand votes, popular social media personality Teenmaar Mallanna aka Chintapandu Mallanna has made his mark in the just concluded Graduate MLC polls. Though in the fray as an independent candidate and despite no major political party backing him, Mallanna got highly impressive amount of votes.
Navin shot to fame as Teenmaaar Mallanna, a character in a TV news show. The first time he contested for an MLA position was in the Huzurnagar bypolls. He secured less than 200 votes. However, that did not deter him. He continued with his anti-TRS tirade and attacked the ruling party despite cases being foisted on him. He has contested as an independent candidate for the Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Graduate MLC constituency. He has done his spade work very well. He undertook padayatras and met the voters in a big way. Though he is trailing behind by over 15000 votes at the end of the third round of counting, he has shown that one can make a mark despite not having the support of any mainstream party.
He has pushed redoubtable Prof. Kodandaram, the vanguard of Telangana agitation to the third place. The BJP was pushed to the fourth position.. The Congress stood fifth, while Rani Rudrama and Cheruku Sudhakar were relegated to the sixth and seventh position. Though trailing behind, Teenmaar Mallanna has in fact stolen the show and emerged a dark horse.
