Sidhu's Resignation a blessing in disguise for HER

This unexpected developed came as a blessing in disguise for another party leader Roopa Ganguly.
President Pranab Mukherjee nominated Roopa Ganguly to Rajya Sabha to fill the vacancy created by the Cricketer-turned-Politician.
Roopa Ganguly shot to fame after she played mythological role of 'Draupadi' in the TV series Mahabharat in 1988. She even acted in Bengali and Hindi Films before joining BJP in 2005. She, however, unsuccessfully contested West Bengal Assembly polls on BJP Ticket this year. Now, The resignation of Sidhu helped her to step into the Upper house.
Meanwhile, Sidhu floated a new front Awaaz-e-Punjab only to ensure the defeat of ruling party in the upcoming polls.
