Rs 2000 Currency Note security feature

Several speculations over the security features of New Currency surfaced after the launch of Demonetization. Few reports were in circulation confirming the presence of a chip in new Rs 2,000 notes. However, RBI made it clear there is no such feature in the new currency.
Union Finance Ministry on Friday disclosed the key security feature of newly launched Rs 2,000 denomination currency note through a Tweet. The new currency is equipped with 'Intaglio' feature which give it a new design altogether.
To find out the difference between Original & Fake Currency, Take a cloth and rub on the note to generate 'Turbo Electronic Effect' which is result of transfer of ink on the note to the cloth. If one experience a little shock while doing so, Then its an original Rs 2,000 note. This clarification will put all the speculations about the security features to new currency to rest.
Cabinet approval is a must for including security features such as Water Mark, Security Thread, Fibre and Gupta Chitram.
A WhatsApp message saying Government will take over the Gold in excess of 600 grams in bank lockers if the account holder fails to prove its source. However, Finance Ministry clarified there is no such proposal what-so-ever.
