Deepika Padukone, who is known as the party girl of Bollywood for appearing in such roles more often, is in a happy space now as her career is heading towards a right direction. Although 'Cocktail' earned her critical acclaim, it failed to enter into the Rs 100 crore and all her other films ended up as duds. The stupendous success of Race 2 (India bizz: Rs 106 crore, Overseas: 34 crore) came as a blessing in disguise for this long legged lass.
With several big budgeted films and multiple brand endorsements in her kitty, around Rs 300 crore is said to be riding on Deepika now. Currently, the actress is looking forward to the year 2013 which according to her is very crucial for her career.
Deepika feels there is no necessity for her to be insecure about the presence of other Rs 100 crore club actresses like Kareena, Sonakshi and Priyanka. She claims to be above competition and stresses the fact that everyone has enough work to do rather than focussing on others.
