Former Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy's son Karthik Reddy revolted against Congress Leadership over the denial of Rajendra Nagar ticket. The National Party allotted this seat to the Telugu Desam as part of seat-sharing deal. TDP named Ganesh Gupta as it's candidate for Rajendra Nagar Seat.
On Thursday morning, Karthik Reddy had a meeting with his followers to discuss about his future plans. He tendered his resignation to the Congress soon after the meeting. The Young Leader maintained he would assume High Command has accepted his resignation had if Rajendra Nagar seat isn't allotted to him.
