Batting Maestro Sachin Tendulkar denied seeking land from IIT Delhi for his Cricket Academy. "I am appalled to read the stories that suggest some land has been asked from IIT-D for academy in my name. I have not even planned any academy neither do I want any piece of land for any purpose," he clarified.

On Sunday, Media reported that Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi director Raghunath K Sevgaonkar resigned due to pressure from the Ministry of Human Resource Development to allot IIT Ground for Cricket Academy of Sachin.

Taking a dig at media, Sachin states, "Wish that basic facts are checked from me before publishing such fiction using my name".

The Media Reports also inform Mr. Raghunath was under pressure to pay nearly Rs 70 lakhs to former faculty and BJP leader Subrahmanian Swamy as his salary dues between 1972 to 1991.
