Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar heaped praises on Badminton Coach Pullela Gopichand who is instrumental in making Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu world class players.
Speaking at the felicitation ceremony held at Gopichand Academy, Sachin Tendulkar said: 'Gopichand is a real hero. These Athletes won medals with putting so much of hard work. They are the pride of the Nation'. The legendary cricketer even obliged the request of taking selfies with the Athletes.
On Sunday, Sachin presented BMW Cars to the Rio Olympic Medalists PV Sindhu & Sakshi Malik, Deepa Karmakarla who missed the medal by a narrow margin and Coach Pullela Gopichand. He handed over the keys to the Champions and wished good luck for future.
Hyd Badminton Vice President Chamundeswarinath promised to offer BMW to PV Sindhu if she wins a medal. When he requested Cricket God to handover the key to Sindhu, Sachin opined it would be nice if other medal winners were honoured in a similar fashion and made necessary arrangements.
