Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar on Saturday appealed Prime Minister Narendra Modi to say a few encouraging words to the athletes representing India in Rio Olympics during his speech on 70th Independence Day.
Using the newly launched mobile App 'Namo', Narendra Modi asked Citizens to offer him suggestions on the topics that should be included in his Independence Day address. Sachin took this opportunity to request Modi to lift the spirits of Indian Athletes, who couldn't succeed in winning the medals, with some motivational words.
Sachin opined representing the Nation at a big tourney like Olympics is a rare achievement. He feels Indian Athletes need to be appreciated for competing with the best in the World.
Little Master is the goodwill ambassador of Indian Olympic Association. Sachin believes India with largest youth population could be a sporting nation which eventually emerge as a healthy nation fighting the lifestyle diseases.
