Sachin Shaken By Kerala Temple Tragedy

Indian legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar expressed shock and grief over the fire tragedy in a Kerala temple that killed nearly 100 people.Sachin said he was "shaken" by the fire at a Kerala temple that left nearly 100 people dead.
"Shaken by the tragic news of Kollam (temple). Thoughts and prayers go out to those affected. May God give us strength and resolve to bear this loss," he tweeted.
At least 96 people were killed and over 300 injured in the fire accident. The tragedy occurred early on Sunday morning when a fireworks display caused a blaze at the temple in the coastal town of Paravur, about 60 km from Thiruvananthapuram. Several of the bodies are charred beyond recognition. Reports are emerging that the fireworks contractor is also dead.
Indian prime minister Narendra Modi also expressed grief over the mishap and described the tragedy as heart-rending and shocking. Modi announced an ex-gratia of 2 lakhs each to the dead and 50,000 to the injured.
