Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar met renowned Indian tabla player Zakir Hussain the other day. While the Cricket God was spotted with drums, Ustad got hold of the cricket bat here. Its so pleasing to watch these legends having mutual respect for each other.
On a funny note, Sachin Tendulkar comments: 'A straight drive to the musical world with the Ustad @ZakirHtabla'.
Zakir Hussain was honoured with Padma Shri in 1988 and Padma Bhushan in 2002 by the Indian Government. He was born on March 9th, 1951 in the family of legendary tabla player Alla Rakha. He began learning Pakhawaj from the age of 3 and starting giving 150 concerts per year since 1970.
