Cricket God Sachin Tendulkar recalls his near-death experience during school days while he was crossing a railway track.

Speaking at the launch of two initiatives by the Mumbai railway police SAMEEP (Safety Alert Messages Exclusively for Passengers) and B-Safe, Sachin said he used to travel by trains in Mumbai with his cricket kit bag right from the age of 11. He had the experience of getting pushed in and out of the trains due to the heavy rush at times.

During his school days, Sachin went to his friend's place in Vile parle. After practicing till afternoon, The group of six people decided to watch a movie and it was late by the time the film ended. So, All of them decided to cross railway tracks to reach Dadar for boarding the train. While crossing the tracks, They realized that trains were coming close to them at a fast pace and ended up crouching on their knees while caring their kit bags. Sachin recalls the scariest experience of his life.

In the end, The Iconic Cricketer opined crossing railway tracks might save a bit of time but its too risky. He asks people to think about family members waiting for their safe return while doing so.
