What pushed Sachin to Retirement?
By: Tupaki Desk | 3 March 2017 8:04 AM GMTSachin Tendulkar shared when he decided to announce retirement from the International Cricket with his post named as 'My Second Innings' on 'Linkedin'.
It was when Mumbai Indians were playing Champions Trophy T20 in October 2013, Sachin got the thoughts of retirement for the first time. Usually, His day would begin with gym workout which is something he practiced since 24 years. But, He was reluctant to wake up one morning in October. 'Why? Were these signs...signs that I should stop?,' he questioned himself.
The Master Blaster recollected words of Sunil Gavaskar (I made up my mind to quit the game when I found myself checking the clock to see how much time is left for lunch and tea intervals) and Billie Jean King (You will know for sure when to go, it will come from inside you, don't let the world decide when you have to retire). After sharing his thoughts with family and friends, Sachin announced his retirement from cricket forever.
Sachin declares: 'If my First Innings was about chasing my dreams. Second Innings is about satisfaction'.
