The countdown for the much-awaited auctions for the Indian Premier League (IPL) begins. The auctions are expected to be held on the 18th of this month. The edition has a lot more to offer.

Arjun Tendulkar, son of Sachin Tendulkar, aka batting maestro made himself available for the auction. He enlisted in the auction at a base price of Rs 20 lakh.

Arjun, a left-arm speedster made his senior debut in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in January. He got his debut wicket in the tournament, though Mumbai lost to Haryana. Unlike his father, Arjun is a bowling all-rounder.

Arjun registering himself for the IPL auction has kickstarted the topic of nepotism in cricket once again. Netizens are not happy with this and questioned why the pacer enrolled himself without making a notable performance.

However, Sachin Tendulkar's fans have sky level expectations on Arjun. That is the reason why, on multiple occasions, Sachin urged the fans to leave Arjun alone from the limelight. The litter master opined that putting more pressure might affect Arjun's game.

On the other hand, netizens who supported the farmers' agitation took this opportunity to troll Arjun and Sachin. Sachin was at the receiving end for supporting the government in Agri bills row.
