Sachin's Record under big threat

When he was 31 Years and 10 Months Old, Sachin entered into the 10,000 runs club while playing against Pakistan at Eden Gardens. Whereas, Cook turned 31 in December last year and he is just 36 runs short of the unique feat. He scored 9,964 runs so far at an average of 46.56.
The England left-handed opener have every chance of joining the elite 10,000-run club during the upcoming series against Sri Lanka. May be, He will be able to do that in the first test scheduled to take place at Leeds.
Interestingly, Cook made his Test debut against India in 2006. He was the key in England's 2010-11 Ashes tour victory in Australia and 2012-13 Test series win in India.
